We love kids! And we want your children to have a fun and safe experience while teaching them about the love of Jesus. Our overall mission is to create lifelong disciples of Jesus by teaching only church approved, Biblically-based curriculum in a child-friendly manner. We offer various sessions and groups to accommodate children of all ages.
Our mission is to lead persons, to lead families, to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. Our children’s ministry is called Next Generation Ministries because we make it a priority to reach our children with the Word of God and give them the tools they need to thrive as believers in this world.
Weekly Schedule
SUNDAY MORNING
Children’s Church during our regular worship time
Nursery and Toddler care is available at all times during our Sunday hours.
WEDNESDAY EVENING
Next Generation Ministries – this children’s group is at 6pm every Wednesday.
Curriculum
All of our curriculum is from Lifeway Christian Resources, the Christian media publishings and distribution division of the Southern Baptist Convention. Copies of the curriculum are always available upon request.
Coming this summer
Our summer kids camps are continuing to grow as plans are finalized. We will have three camps and several mission teams this year. We look forward to seeing you this summer at our Next Generation Ministries events!

KEEPING YOUR KIDS SAFE
Here at First Baptist Church in Palmer, your child’s safety is our top priority. Here are the steps we take to make that happen:
- All children’s workers must pass a background check and complete Ministry Safe Training.
- All children’s workers will be wearing badges to help you easily identify them.
- We utilize Kid Check as our check-in system. Upon check in, children and guardians will receive a label with a matching code. When picking up your child, the child care worker will check the labels to ensure children are only released to their guardians.
- All outside doors are locked during service.
